“Students should be allowed phones at school”

Every school is different, so in my opinion I agree and disagree at the same time. Students need phones for a reason, for example, they might need it for research apps for learning or to make a call to their parents about personal reasons. Students also don’t need phones otherwise they get distracted, for example, they would view apps like youtube and netflix… they would also go online to do cyber bullying.

Reasons why they need it-pro’s

Emergencies- Students would be allowed phones/devices in class according to the rules of the school. They would need it in case of an emergency call, for example, the student must have forgotten their medical kit (if they have medical issues) so the teachers would call the parents/caretaker to deliver the medical kit! Other emergencies could be that the students are going through tough situations that are personal!

Research- I think that students should be 100% allowed to be using it for school research, for example, calculators for math equations, apps for reading (history books), music (for a good reason), and useful apps that relate to learning or that the students need mostly. In my opinion, I agree that the students should use their phones mostly for school work research, in my school, no one needs phones for research because some classes use chromebooks and some classes use ipads.

Reasons why they don’t need it-con’s

Distractions- Every single kid gets distracted by devices easily. They would avoid listening to the teacher so they would rather take selfies and send it to other people, they would message each other in the middle of learning or they would play LOUD music while the teacher is talking. Getting distracted from devices

Conclusion:

So those are the reasons why my answer is YES and NO. Every school is finished so other people’s answer could be yes or if not NO like my school! (WE ARE NOT ALLOWED PHONES IN MY SCHOOL).
