HTML code

Today we are learning about HTML code.

HTML stands for Hyper text Mark Language. It is like a secret language that hides behind everything you can see on blog posts and internet.

 

IMG stands for image. This means it is talking about a picture.

Embed means something has been put in from another source, such as a Google Drawing.

color is talking about colour something is, like the background of writing or the background of the page.

Br means blank row. This means there is a space between the two pictures.

Narratives

Today we were highlighting the good parts of a narrative story.

For some of us it was our first time learning how to highlight text in Google Docs.

We also learnt how to write a comment. 

We commented why that part of the story was good. 

Next we also learnt how to 'find' something in Google Docs by pushing Control+F at the same time. 

Making our own boardgames - Gaming unit (T1,W10)

Over the past couple weeks we planned and made our own boardgames.

Some of us made our own game up from our mind, and some of used the ideas from other games like Monopoly and changed some part of it.

Using screencastify!

Today we downloaded a Chrome extension called Screencastify. 

This app lets us record our screens and ourselves. 

We can't do this without the app.

We will use it a lot to collect evidence of our learning.

Room 7 Kawa of Care 2017

Today we did our first Cybersmart lesson - Miss Ashley read us the student obligations of the Kawa of Care document. Next we split into groups and made up a skit for 2 different obligations students must agree to, before using their netbook in and out of school.
